ruin of saint-pol-roux manor, camaret-sur-mer. saint-pol-roux was a french symbolist poet born in 1861. in june 1940, a nazi soldier broke into his home and raped saint-pol-roux's daughter, divine. saint-pol-roux escaped to brest and died of a broken heart, they say, after he learned his manor and unpublished manuscripts had been burned.
